One Love Music Workshop

One Love Music Workshop

The music project will aim to facilitate social cohesion and help active citizens grow by increasing the participation and engagement of children and young people in the project and help to bring the community together to understand each other’s culture in a positive way.

Our music activity aims to direct youth away from youth crime and/or knife crime by providing positive role models and tutors to mentor the youth not only to help them focus on developing their knowledge and understanding of music and its benefits, but also by helping them to build their confidence and effective communication and life skills in a supported environment.

Our One Love Music Workshop caters to a variety of needs:

  • Music performances (positive original Music) inspiring young people to actively consider music as an alternative to violence, crime or a life of depravation and actively consider a career in music with support to do this.
  • Through the process of learning new skills they will build self-esteem and confidence – i.e. through live performance in front of audience,
  • Developing communication skills and critical thinking to make better decisions
  • Resilience through reflective learning challenging their belief systems
